A Message from the Executive Director

The Institute for Excellence in Education's Executive Director, Sherry Schock

Thank you for considering IEE for your professional learning needs. We know that the most important resources in your school are the teachers and students. In today's competitive world you need a result driven organization that can provide direct support to your teachers and students, leading to swift gains in student achievement. IEE brings the experience and passion to help you get this job done. Our team of expert presenters and coaches are experienced practitioners who understand the importance of student outcomes. They work collaboratively with school leadership to set and meet learning targets for each professional development session.

IEE implements a model of continuous, on-going, job embedded professional development. While engaging professional development sessions are important to teacher learning, the fidelity of implementation comes in the follow-up. IEE pairs the Cognitive Coaching model to mediate adult thinking with classroom support. Virtual coaching provides a format for planning and reflecting conversations improving the level of implementation by providing adult support. We provide an array of topics aimed to support teacher growth.

IEE team members are experienced teachers and school leaders who understand how to help students become creative and innovative thinkers. This is a process which requires students to look beyond the obvious right answer and explore possibilities. This allows students to find alternative answers, creative processes, and unexpected outcomes.

The schools and students we work with are excited about the results. You will find examples of the success our schools are experiencing. Teachers and school leaders are crediting the academic growth they are demonstrating to their engaging and focused work with IEE. We are excited about the potential to work with your school and help you and your students reach new heights.

Sincerely,
Sherry A. Schock, EdD
