Instructional Coach
Julie Grimmelsman is a Coach Specialist at The Institute for Excellence in Education where she coaches teachers and school leaders to improve learning through creative and engaging instructional strategies.
Julie Grimmelsman has worked in the educational field for over 40 years as a teacher, assistant professor in education, corporate trainer, and presenter for both the Michigan Reading Association and MAMSE. Julie helps teachers/school leaders motivate and engage students in learning.
Julie earned her Master of Arts Degree with an emphasis in reading diagnosis and remediation from Eastern Michigan University in 1993 and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Michigan University in 1981. As a continual learner, Julie has her TESOL certification and received a certificate in DEI from the University of Southern Florida.
When Julie is not in a school, she enjoys volunteering in an animal shelter and camping.
