Leadership Coach
Kapeka Salter is a Leadership Coach and School Development Team professional at The Institute for Excellence in Education. She coaches educators in their continuous improvement efforts to ensure the implementation of systemic instructional improvement. As a former middle school teacher and school leader, Kapeka has a proven history of improving student outcomes. In both capacities, she worked to establish trust. Through professional relationships, she was able to capture the value and importance of empowering both student and teacher voices. This rewarding work enabled the achievement of school and personal/professional goals within the school community.
In her free time, Kapeka enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Kapeka received her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Saginaw Valley State University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies and English.
