Reading Stamina

At the beginning of the school year, Lucy McIntosh attempts to increase her students reading stamina.  She uses charts and graphs so the class can see their progress on a daily basis.

Lucy knows what reading researchers, like Lucy Calkin, have been saying for years.  If we want kids to read better, they need to read more.  Reading stamina needs to be built over time.  It’s simple, it’s easy, and it makes perfect sense.  So, follow Lucy’s lead and get your kids to read, read, read!
