What is SEL?
Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
This is such a vital part of growing up and yet it is often missed in our educational programs. IEE's coaches are here to help! We offer trainings that range from 1 hour to 2 days. Let us give you the tools you need to bring positive character back into our schools.

Identity: Who Do You Think You Are?
Who Do You Think You Are? supports teachers and students as they explore their identities as leaders, students, and practitioners. This training guides educators and students to deeply think about how their actions define how they are perceived by others.
Bullying Prevention Tips
Educators can use these low-burden tips for preventing bulling and making schools more caring, respectful places.
SEL Impact
Facilitators will share data and research to help make the case for high quality SEL and explore the role of school leaders.
Teaching SEL through roleplay
Educators will be exposed to the power behind roleplaying SEL skills and given the opportunity to create real world scenarios for adults and youth alike.
Success Maker: Drop Out Prevention
The Institute for Excellence in Education has developed the Success Maker: Drop Out Prevention program to help motivate disengaged students in order to keep them in the classroom through graduation and to prepare them for career and/or college success.
Check In / Check Outs
Educators will explore a highly effective research-based intervention that keeps track of struggling students through a daily check in / check out procedure.
Relationship Mapping
Relationship Mapping process guides teachers and school leaders through a process to first ensure that every student has a significant adult mentor. Second, the process supports the educators as they seek to mentor the most challenging students in the school.
