Managing student behavior and providing students with meaningful learning opportunities can be as elusive as Bigfoot himself. Today’s students are emerged in technology. Textbooks and novels can hardly compare to the 3-D games and virtual realities of student free time. The secret to capturing and keeping your students’ attention lies within well-orchestrated, highly-engaging instruction strategies that hold all students accountable for learning.
Join educators from around the state at this two-day workshop designed to help you “crack the code” on the mysteries of student engagement. You’ll leave with dozens of research-based, easy to use strategies that will transform your classroom into an organized culture of learning. These strategies can be implemented into all grade levels and content areas, and support a wide-range of instructional topics, including: literacy, mathematics, comprehension, classroom management, transitions and many more.
Participants will:
- Develop an understanding of the science behind brain-based instructional strategies;
- Build a toolkit of more than 50 strategies designed to “spark” student engagement;
- Experience hands-on learning activities you can apply in your classroom to keep the student engagement “spark” alive all year long!
