2013 – 2014 Leadership Seminar Series
The “Common Core – Excellent Lessons by Design” Seminar Series engages teacher practitioners and school leaders in the study of how master teachers consider the relationship of the concrete and abstract elements of instruction in order to maximize student success.
Participants will examine how data collection, analysis and usage inform all aspects of instruction, including content, process and product. The examination of these elements of effective instruction will inform a comprehensive process for Excellent Lessons by Design that integrates both the science and art of teaching. This seminar will guide participants to discover the often mysterious, artistic elements employed by distinguished teachers in order to profoundly impact their effectiveness in ensuring success for all students.
The Series includes unique opportunities for school teams to:
- practice distributed leadership
- build networks with other schools
- increase collaborative skills
- prepare for implementation of the Common Core.
